We are at the point where we would like to go public with this and see what the community thinks. Since this is a somewhat complicated and can be confusing topic, please bear with me. Below we have some dates listed off the Elite Timeline and these dates that we have listed here are important we believe. IMPORTANT DATES of the ED LORE with connections to URMMSI 2180 / life on Delta Pavonis discovered and made extinct the same year by an infenction 2310 / Rumours abound of the elimination of a sentient race on Achenar 6d (aka Capitol) 2314 Henson Duval confirmed the act of genocide was commited on Achenar against alien life 2850 / Space Dredger TerraCorp One disappears mysteriously into Witch Space 3164-65 / Galaxy 1 (Orion-Cygnus Arm) to Galaxy 2 ( either Scutum Centaurus, Sagittarious Carina, or Persues Arm) wormhole from early spacing days collapses, severing contact with 1840 worlds of the Galactic Cooperative. It was widely speculated that this collapse was intentional 3194 Maximillion Weaver, mysteriously breaks ties with INRA, and goes on over the next 5 decades to create a mining empire, eventually alligning with Sirius, and their developement of new Hyperspace technology 3250 Max Weaver & Sirius finish development of the Class 4 Military Drive (we think this is actually the original Meta Drive, hence meta-alloys being a resource used for the Meta Drive that FDev has hinted at). They install it onto a ship called the Crimson Arrow. Shortly after completion of the retrofitting, INRA unprovoked attacked the secretive shipyard that Crimson Arrow was at. Crimson Arrow managed to literally jump out of the shipyard shortly before it was destroyed and survived the attack. It then fired up its C4MD and mysteriously disappeared 3250 cont. / Max Weaver is reported missing 3251 Max Weaver reappears with no explanation of his where abouts 3258 Crimson Arrow mysteriously reappears 3276 A strange object of unknown origin is discovered in the vicinity of Liazeda . Named the LRA (Liazeda Radio Anomoly), the Alliance research ship, the Lion, is sent to investigate. The LRA and the ship disappears and its fate is still unknown in 3296. 3296 Another deep space LRA is discovered with many of the Galactic Coops old probes attached to it. Humanity stands alone once more. The Far Colonies were considered within the Bubble at the time. And the alien races as far as we know of Human history back then....those alien races did not posess the Tech to travel to G2 without the aid of the Faraway Tech We suspect they could have been using pre-MetaDrive technology Essentially prototype MD tech, and with INRA's connection to hyperspace tech, and their involvement with the Crimson Arrow project by attacking it.....like theres definitely something probably there Mission Goals: 1. Uncover any answers/clues pertaining to Raxxla, MetaDrive, or "the Undiscoverables" Cont'd: Our Research thus far Our main research lately has been trying to figure out IF Liazeda (1st LRA) still exists within ED and its coordinates, or systems that are damn close to where Liazeda would be at. We have converted old EF2 coordinates to ED coordinates using different formats, and we have came up with a list of systems that could be Liazeda renamed. Some excerpts from one of our lead converters are as follows: Cmdr Wodey: I had a look at trying to translate ED coords to EF2 coords, but it doesn't work. One way of doing it are ignoring the z param and trying to perform rotation and scaling to get say Polaris to map from [-323, -212, 195] (x,y,z - note eddb and galmap list x,z,y) to [0,76] (x,y). However the mapping doesn't work for other stars. I also tried just checking the scaling, i.e. the distance from Sol. This is not consistent and varies between x5 and x16, depending on which star you used (I tried Polaris, Alioth and Lave). I tried using the correct distance from Sol in ED, and also tried a flat projection of the ED map onto an XY plane, but the results are still different for the three stars I tried. E.g. In ED Polaris is 432.6 ly from Sol, in EF2 it's 76, scaling factor 432.6/76 = 5.69 In ED Alioth is 82.5 ly from Sol, in EF2 it's 4, scaling factor = 82.5/4 = 20.63 In ED Lave is 114.5 ly from Sol, in EF2 it's 6.7, scaling factor = 114.5/6.7 = 17.1 If we only consider the XY distance from Sol (flat/2D projection), then the scaling factors above reduce to 5.1, 15.5 and 10, so still wildly inconsistent. Hence at this stage I don't think it's possible to translate the coords from ED to EF2 as I do not believe the EF2 map is using a consistent scale. The only other possibility I can think of is that if you tried taking some strange projection of the 3D ED map, maybe you could rotate it such that the distances from Sol became more consistent. Imagine you had a 3D map (like in EDSM) that you can rotate until you get a satisfactory perspective, then you use that as your final 2D image. I am assuming the viewpoint is overhead looking down with X being the horizontal axis and Y being the vertical axis, but perhaps the final viewpoint of the 3D map was some strange angle, selected to give better separation between the stars. After discussing this we began to realized that we believe EF2s star map to be a side on view, versus top down, and that the horizontal axis is actually up/down, and the vertical axis is actually side to side.
