I'm having a blast with my Vive, but. I can't seem to get a decent setting for text. I've got a strong pc with 1080 graphics. I'm currently running with in-game: SS at 1.25 and HMD quality at 1.5. Gamma turned down pretty low. No 3rd party tools. Is there a solution out there to make text readable WITHOUT EDITING CONFIG FILES and 3rd party tools? I wouldn't mind a big hit on graphics in general if only I could read the different in-game text/prompts... Thanks in advance. :) Update/Solution: After trying everthing in-game without success, I finally turned to the 3rd party tool EDProfiler by Dr. Kaii: http://www.drkaii.com/tools/edprofiler/ And it solved everything. You can set all your VR settings from there, and best of all you can select or create all the colour schemes you need. The standard orange HUD was unreadable to me in my Vive, but I stumbled upon this preset at EDProfiler which I highly recommend: NO2O Dark Deep Sky Blue_Gold. Note of interest: Apparently the Vive has a more vibrant screen than the Oculus, thus the Oculus users don't seem to have problems reading the orange text. But being able to choose your colour scheme is always nice. Maybe something for FD to consider implementing in-game? Huge thanks to Dr. Kaii! You saved Elite: Dangerous in VR for me. :)
