So the other day I went to try some CZ combat. I'd love to say long story short, but it's a pretty short story. I outfitted my trusty Vulture, went to a local Low CZ, and within moments of entering and picking a faction, I got massacred by an Elite Imperial Cutter. (Why are there Imperial Cutters in a low CZ???) Having had my fill of combat (attempted combat, tried the CZ a couple more times with similar results) I thought I try mining, since I'd not done it in awhile and it sounded like fun - get away from civilization and just mind my own business peacefully. Well, after I'd loaded up my python with over 200T of Platinum, Palladium, Painite and Gold, I was very excited to see what kind of profit I could turn. So I headed out of the ring system, and started towards a planetary station. I had barely jumped into supercruise when I am interdicted by a Dangerous rated FDL, who says he "just want's cargo". Well, fine. I can't outrun you, so here, have some gold. Then he proceeds to open fire, and completely wrecks me in the time it takes to jump again. I managed to jump out with 6% hull left, and only had 3LS to go to get to a nearby planetary station (otherwise I'd have jumped to another start system but, in hindsight, I probably would've been instantly interdicted there too). Shortly after entering supercruise again, who shows up, but the same stupid FDL, interdicts me again, and finishes the job he started. Now my attempt at an enjoyable mining trip has cost me over $4.5 million, (not including what my cargo was worth) and left me annoyed and frustrated. ED has been my all time favorite game since I got it last summer, but since the engineers update, the game has lost a lot of it's enjoyment for me. I know the "get gud" crowd would probably love to chime in (YOU try killing an FDL in a fully laden Python!), but those of us that just play this game casually would like to have fun too. The game WAS fun! I loved it! Now, after the events of the last couple of times playing, I'm really starting to lose interest. How can we bring incidents like this to Frontier's attention? I don't want to just whine because I 'sploded, I'm just upset about the seemingly ludicrous conditions upon which I was 'sploded. Have I done something wrong? Do I have to try mining with a fully outfitted combat ship just to be safe? Surely it can't just be astronomically bad luck...
