As a low cost one You get to write an article or piece of fiction for the in game magazines. Like in frontier you had the various news subscriptions. So a pledge tier that gets our articles into the final game. sure they will need to be edited/tweaked to fit but i think it could work. Names and dates would need to be vague/changeable but the core should be easy enough. there can be various different styles, tabloid, news, fiction, hard science etc. I say the pledge level should be low, or maybe as an optional extra. that last may work as FD may need to set a form up to make it easier for them to edit. the low cost will mean they get a lot of extra content for the game. A short example i typed up in the KS comments. FRONTIER NEWS IMPERIAL INVASION! Last night it emerged that imperial forces have seized the independent world of Zandian. An imperial fleet is blockading the system and no one is allowed in. the colony on Zandian was establish nearly thirty years ago by Lucy Kohl, after she made her fortune from lucrative milk runs and allegedly some high risk missions for the federal military. Kohl used her fortune to fund the colony after discovering rich mineral deposits on the planet. It's a move that has paid off as the colony has flourished in recent years becoming one of the fastest growing population centres outside of either the empire or the federation. There is some speculation that the empire is reacting to reports that citizens of Zandian have been involved in terrorist action in the Facece system and the liberation of thousands of slaves. So far there has been no official word from the empire.
