We want YOU To be really annoying. Who are we? Just ordinary players, playing a game we love. What are we doing? Interfering with griefers and gankers who get their kicks ruining other peoples' fun. Where are we doing it? Wherever we find, or hear reports of griefers and gankers. When are we doing it? Whenever we're able to play. Why are we doing it? I can only speak for myself, but I suspect other Mosquitoes share at least some of my feelings and motivations. I love this game. I have loved it since the 1980's. I love it so much that I donated a stupid amount of money (for me) to Kickstarter just so I could play this game. Now that I am playing it, I want to keep on playing it for as long as possible, and the activities of our opponents threaten the future of this game by driving new players away, along with their friends that they would have recommended this game to if they'd had a more fun experience. I remember what it was like when my credit balance was much smaller, and my brand new shiny expensive ship got blown up by some idiot just for the lulz, and I had to go back to something smaller and less shiny. I've never liked bullies, and although I can now afford the rebuys much more easily, I still find those morons annoying. So why not annoy them right back? Maybe if we annoy them enough, they'll stop doing it, or at least go somewhere else. Besides, It's fun! The idea has been floating around the galaxy for quite some time, like those annoying floating seeds that look like summer snow and sometimes get blown into your face, or even your mouth. How are we doing it? We go to where there are reports of griefers and/or gankers, then if necessary we summon our Interference ship, with which we interdict griefers and/or gankers, and taunt them by running away. (I like to message them and say "Meep meep!" just to rub it in, but maybe that's just me.) Then we taunt them a second time. Rinse and repeat. We aren't targeting pirates or CG blockers (I'm not, anyway, and I don't think any of the others are either). IMHO Those are legitimate gaming styles. What do you need to join? A small, fast cheap ship with a FSD Interdictor that you can afford multiple rebuys on. A love for Elite Dangerous. A dislike of bullies, griefers and gankers. A sense of humour is highly recommended, but a sense of fun will do. A willingness to pick on those who pick on others. An ability to be really annoying (when you want to be). How can you join? We're not very organised - we're having too much fun, but since the griefers/gankers have a "KoS" (Kill on Sight) list, we have a "IWoS" (Interfere With on Sight) or maybe it's a "AoS" (Annoy on Sight) list. Just post your interest in this thread, maybe message one of the members (I'm sure they'll make themselves known, but I don't want to "out" anyone without their permission). Then start being annoying! What can you do if you keep getting Mosquitoed? Stop griefing/ganking, and we'll stop annoying you. If you're not griefing/ganking, just tell us. People make mistakes. If you're nice and don't shoot us - just explain that you're a real pirate or running a blockade, we'll probably be inclined to believe you and we'll take you off the list.
