I flew into Tau Ceti and got an immediate Illicit Cargo notice. Figured it was the War Supplies Non Lethal Weapons I was carrying but it was scheduled to be delivered to another system anyway. Only other things carried was some survival equipment and a passenger who wasn't a criminal. Bailed out of Tau Ceti without incident and delivered the non-lethal weapons at my next destination. While docked I did a check of Tau Ceti and neither non-lethal weapons nor survival equipment was on the prohibited list. Picked up a load of gold for delivery to Rana. The survival equip was destined for Tau Ceti so back I went figuring the illicit notice would clear itself. NOPE! Still there when I dropped into Tau Ceti. Being no stranger to smuggling I figured what the heck. Sunk down out of the shipping lanes on my way to the delivery station but got interdicted by a system cop anyway - evaded successfully. Made it to the station, shut every thing down and did a boom and zoom thru the mail slot without being scanned. All is good. Time to leave; still got the illicit cargo message and the only thing on board besides the wimp passenger was the gold. Launched, boosted out of the mail slot AND - forgot to dump chaff - ship scanned. Bummer. 4K fine. Chump change; big deal and the passenger was still happy. But one wonders - can some materials be illicit in some systems because no commodity I was carrying while in Tau Ceti was on the system or stations prohibited list. Any ideas?
