http://rdaborn.tumblr.com/image/94377508377 Hi guys. Another one of my Elite inspired concepts. The Horseshoe Crab Space tug. This ship is primarily designed like the hauler class as a cargo vessel. Limited weaponry apart from some point defenses. It's often seen among asteroids, it's powerful mining laser used to drill and slice asteroids. It's segmented primary hull can hold a formidable amount of ore for its size. The Horseshoe is also equipped for tug towing. Many SAR search and rescue services have at least one horseshoe in their inventories for towing stranded ships. the drawing itself was inspired by the Elite games, it was originally going to be a Krait redesign but became something else. the pencil drawing was done several years ago until I got around to scan it in and use ArtRage art program to colour it. Whatcha think? :)
